Defying the stats

Usually, the team first scorer wins the game. This time, Sabres proved they could not only come back from a deficit in regular season but also in playoffs. Vanek showed his quality again. 5 in rows for Buffalo. 6 downs, 10 to go.

Cream of the crop!

Rangers will have to find other solutions to counter the war machine of Sabres. Good news for Sabres, every team winning first games of series ending up advancing.

When will the Stanley Cup come back to Canada. Hope not this year because of Sabres but I'd like to see them in final.

4 downs, 12 to go, 11 teams left

Buffalo Sabres made it in 5 games with a 4-3 victory over the Islanders. Sharks also eliminated the Predators.

Now the Sabres await their next opponent, probably the other NY team, the Rangers.

2 downs, 14 to go

Zubrus was lucky to get away with a penalty at the end. The Islanders can skate as fast as Sabres. Ryan Miller got shot on his mask then on his shoulder. It was hard. Harder than imagined. But Sabres will pull it off at the end and meet either Tampa or the other NY team, The Rangers.

ESPN audition

Holy Week

We are not going away but our week off ahead of us seems busy enough. We are going to start thinking about the baby, prepare the shower, and shop around. We are trying Netflix and it's the end of season for hockey. Lots of errands to do and calls to catch up. Walking and biking on the program too. I hope sun shows up everyday. And Christine still watches the buds growing and leaves coming back on those dead trees.
